new workout = new life

ok. so i stumbled upon a new workout this week. and today was the FIRST day, of the REST OF MY LIFE!... or at least that's the mentality i had BEFORE the workout. in case you're interested, here... is the workout:

and THIS... is a little of how MINE went:

THE 100 (ish) WORKOUT

50 Jumping Jacks

20 crunches

20 squats

20 leg lifts

some stretchy arm band stretches

10 min of checking facebook



and i'm OK with this.

well, she's my best friend. and i love her. she is my sister, my other half. and will be, for eternity. we have ONE SOUL. in fact. those other girls, ALL FIVE of us share ONE SOUL. amazing, huh? we should go on Oprah, be in the Guinness Book of World Records, and have our own perfume line. seriously, we all FIVE share the EXACT same soul.
it was my lovey's birthday on sunday. and last night, was the GIRLS NIGHT celebration! we went to Smithfield's BBQ and ate some delicious food, prepared by the most precious staff. they sang to my girl, and gave her teddy grahams and a balloon. the night was finished off with a DANCE PARTY! it was so fun. but nothing near what she deserves. she's the best. ever.

storms are brewin'!

yesterday and all night last night, we experienced the very common summer thunderstorms of the south. except, IT'S STILL SPRING! there were HUGE storms, tornados, wind, DOWN POURS, lightning & thunder. i LOVE it! well, this morning (as a result of wind damage) we lost power. and ended up not having power ALL day today! at first, i was of course stomping my feet and shaking my fists. mainly, due to the fact that the power of course chose to turn off the MOMENT i stepped out of the shower, hair SOAKING wet. MINUTES before having to go to work. needless to say, today was by NO MEANS, a good hair day. but after just a few short minutes of pouting. it hit me. everything was so quiet. there was no facebook, no blogs, no food network. i spent the day doing things that were PRODUCTIVE! i read, i cleaned, i organized, i PLUCKED MY EYEBROWS! it's sad that it took the power going out for me to slow down, breath, and relax. technology and modern day conveniences are nice, but it's so refreshing to just go back to the olden ways. of sitting around knitting, reading, talking to each other, and just taking it all in! i was so grateful for that little slap in the face today. maybe tomorrow i'll get on facebook one less time because of it.

i am i big enough person to admit that on FRIDAY night, i went to bed at 7:45PM. and woke up at 8AM on saturday. it was the most invigorating thing in the world! i seriously woke up and said outloud, "i'm on TOP OF THE WORLD!" i felt so good. and saturday was a glorious spring day. i spent the day listening to this and buying fabric, glue sticks, and double-sided tape. just WAIT to see what project i have up my sleeves! and then last night the girls watched INSIDIOUS. oh my holy hannah. it was so creepy. and so so fun! i highly recommend it. and to top it all off, tonight my crazy brother took us all on a GHOST TOUR of EDEN! it was definitely a weekend packed with a lot more creep and scare than i'm used to!

but all in all, it was an absolutely wonderful weekend. it all began with 12 hours of sleep. and ended with what i'm SURE will be a very sleepLESS night!
